Q Where does the word Chakra originate from?  

 

A The word Chakra means spinning wheel or vortice of light and comes from the ancient Indian language Sanskrit.  This language was first recorded over 4,000 years ago.  

 


 

Q Are there only 7 chakras in the human body?  

 

A No, there 7 major chakras and hundreds of minor ones.  

 


 

Q How does the chakras affect our body?  

 

A Each organ, gland and body system is connected to one of the major chakras and this in turn governs/regulates this system.  

 


 

Q Why is it important to balance the chakras?  

 

A Because it keeps the body well balanced on a physical level as well as on an emotional, intellectual and spiritual level  

 


 

Q How do I know when my chakras need to be balanced?  

 

A If you are feeling tired, lethargic, full of self doubt and emotional “out of kilter” but not physically ill, your chakras could be blocked so having them balanced will eliminate these symptoms.
